Applying for a Personal Term Deposit is easy! Simply click on apply online now and follow the step by step application instructions online.

If you don't want to apply online, simply download an application form, complete it, then post it to us.

Otherwise, call us on 133 464, 24 hours a day, any day of the week, we'd be more than happy to help.

Apply online - a quick checklist

  • a personal name or names (we also offer Business Term Deposits for your business, superannuation fund or organisation).
  • an Australian residential address
  • your date of birth (you must be 13 years of age or older to open an ING DIRECT Personal Term Deposit)
  • an Australian telephone number
  • the details of the bank account you wish to link to your Personal Term Deposit (can be a Savings Maximiser or Savings Accelerator)
  • your Tax File Number or exemption code for tax purposes (optional, however we are obliged to deduct tax at the highest marginal tax rate if not supplied)
  • your Client Number, if you are an existing ING DIRECT client.
